April 2009

All FC&MCC Members,

Sorry I am so late in getting this Newsletter out. I have been at doctor visits with both myself and Pop. But now we have a small break of about 3 weeks then back to same thing. Pop is doing well and will have an MRI done on May 14th. Then we will know more.

I just received more great news from Jeremy. He is going to be a father! For those of you who don’t know him, he was our wounded soldier last year and we want to send his family our best wishes.

We plan to have our Annual Car Show at the Baptist church on Gordon Road on August 15th, with rain date of August 22nd. The church has a huge parking lot and they will open the church so we can use their bathrooms. I will be getting all the information together to put on our Web site asap.

If you have not signed up for the Marine Corps Half Marathon and would like to bring your car out please let me know. The cruise-in at the VABBQ has been really nice with lots of new cars and we are planning new activities. Hope everyone can come out and join us. Some of our music CDs have disappeared so if anyone would like to donate any oldies music we would like to have them to play at our cruise and show.

I hope more members will be able to attend the upcoming meeting on May 12th as we will be discussing details about our upcoming show and making decisions on trophies and what activities to plan. We need your input. Thanks to Leslie for working on the Web site. I have had several people wanting links because of her good work. I want to thank Wes for doing a great job on my Plymouth Fury. The Plymouth will not be at shows for a couple of weeks while getting more stuff done.

Feel free to call or e-mail me as I am home most of the time. Thanks again for all your help and support during this trying time.
Regards,
Sue
