All FC&MCC Members,
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and enjoyed the Holidays. We helped five needy families and did our shopping at Roses where the manager helped us and gave our club a 10% discount on everything we bought. They were very nice and the lady that rang our order was extremely nice and helpful. We had the families pick their gifts up after they were wrapped at Shoneys where we had a nice dinner.
We had a lot of things going on at our last meeting so look forward to a busy summer. Charlie and Linda Shotwell and Capital Cruisers are having a cruise-in on Saturday night this year if they can get enough cruisers to make it fun. I will put more on the Web site or you can check out the Capital Cruisers web (link on our site). Brenda Lister and her husband were also there and would like us to do a cruise-in at Fosters Grill in Massaponax. They will give us 20% off all the restaurant takes in during the time we are there. We voted to do one on May 3rd from 2 to 6pm. We will have flyers and more info when we start our cruise-in. We will start our cruise-in on March 28th at the Virginia BBQ weather permitting.
The Wilderness Camp ground wants us to help put on a show there on July 26th with all money taken in to go to the military that were injured in the War. We voted to do this so will need everyone to help. We voted to have our show August 9th from 10-3pm. We need more members at our meetings we are making decisions with just a few members and it would be nice to have more members there to help not only with decisions but to let us know your ideas. We have new officers starting in Jan. They will be listed on our web site, please come to the meeting and meet them.
The Free Lance Star did an article on our club it was in the regional section in the Sunday 24th issue. Our next meeting is Jan.8th would like to see more members we have lots of room now that we are at the Pizza Hut.
