All FC&MCC Members,

It is almost here...only five weeks until our first cruise-in for 2009. I have begun to collect door prizes and get out flyers. I will have Ken post our flyer on the web site so you can print them off. If you need bunches let me know and I will make copies and get them to you.

We had a good meeting, although I was not as prepared as much as usual. As most know Pop is very sick with lung cancer and it is spreading, so he has lots of chemo and doctor appointments. The doctor said after his chemo he will feel better, we are praying for much better times. He is looking forward to attending the cruise-in and some shows. I want to thank all of those who came to the hospital and came by our house as that seems to really help him. I want to thank everyone that has renewed their membership and I am looking forward to another great year.

We have lots of things already going on. The Old Dominion Speedway wants our club to bring our cars on a Saturday night and they will have us park them in a special place and display them by driving them around the speedway. I have had good feed back from members who want to do this. It sounds like a fun event for our club. The Marine Corps Half Marathon is on May 17th and we will be part of the entertainment. I will have to let you know more as I get info.

I want to welcome a new member Steve Sakry and his wife Sue to our club. They have a 1954 Chevy 3100 pickup. I also want to thank Carmen for the good job she is doing as secretary for our club. We are still looking for a place to have our show. Pete has talked to Safford RV and they really want us to do it there. We will decide next meeting so if you know of any place that wants us let me know as we will not wait any longer than next meeting. We had a good turn out at our last meeting and I want to thank everyone that came and helped make some important decisions for our club.
