All FC&MCC Members,
We have had a good summer with our cruise-ins and our show both went well and we are having fun with our cars. A lot of funds have been raised for needy families. Next year should be even better with all the help and suggestions from our members. We can only grow and get better.
We have a lot of things to settle at next month's meeting, Tuesday, October 9 (7pm), so I hope you will attend. I would like to have as many new members attend so you can share your ideas. Christmas is almost here so we will be counting on everybody to be on the look out for families we can help have a good Christmas. I will be contacting the Welfare Department in Fredericksburg they gave us a family last year. We sent Lisa Kitts a $1000 to help with medication and anything else she needs. We will be doing a small fund raiser the second Friday of October (12th) to raise money to help her. We will have extra things to help raise money that night. Hope all can come and help.
We will have a Christmas dinner for the club, I will let everyone know the details in the next news letter. We will be voting on the date and place at the next meeting. We voted for each member to pay for their own meal. If there is a member that cannot pay, let me know and we will make sure that they get their meal.
We voted not to get a trailer as it would not be any advantage to the club. Any time that you cannot attend a meeting and would like to have a say or comment about anything let any member know and it will be discussed at the meeting. We have a couple of things coming up that are important to the club; 1) we will be changing the location for our show next year, and 2) we will be electing new officers. Hope everyone can attend the next meeting as we need your input.
We will be taking our annual skyline drive on Saturday, September 29. We will meet at the Sheets on Rt.3 and Rt.20 at 9am, we will only wait 15 minutes so please be on time. On Saturday, October 6, we will attend the Christ Episcopal Church Show so please sign in as member of FC&MCC. Registration is from 8:30-12:00. The new members I hope will grow to love this club, that is what it is all about the love for old cars amd helping others. I am working on getting a packet of our bylaws and directory to each member. The VABBQ gave us a juke box and Bobby Goss bought it. If you need tires his shop is located 2 miles south of four mile fork phone # 891-2399. Check him out and let him know you are a club member. Thanks to all for a good job.
Sue
